That way you get to really see the island, as opposed to staying in one spot, cabbing it to and from restaurants. <br />Brian - I have yet to discover the East coast! I&#39;ve spent a lot of time in San Juan but that&#39;s about it. So, thanks for the great tips! <br /><br />Ms. Latina - I think it would be so much fun to explore it as a tourist. Sadly, its been almost seven years since I have gone back to my isla. I hope to change that this year. One of the reasons I started my site :o). I have yet to really discover the west side; it&#39;s on my &#39;to do&#39; list. But some of my favorites include:<br />Old San Juan - love just going there and strolling around<br /><br />The east coast (route 3 south) has some really great scenery and nice small beaches<br /><br />Utuado region is scenic and Lago Dos Bocas is a must. I only went to a touristy beach once, after my Abuela had passed and we went to see more the sights type visit. I yearn to go back though my family has changed and spread out over there. The family used to own a large finca but it was sold off years ago after the oldest son died in 1984.
