LushLunes: Your Bliss Level
I recently started "The Summer of Bliss" Challenge (I'll tell you more about that later), and one of my goals is to measure my bliss once a day.
I like this because it brings awareness to my emotional state and helps me map out triggers to that state.
MY BLISS LEVEL:
This morning, at 9:00am, I am feeling very happy.
MY TRIGGERS:
I slept well! I meditated, practiced my yoga and had a hearty breakfast. And I'm not letting "worry," that sorry old hag, accompany me to work.
YOUR ASSIGNMENT:
What's your mission? You guessed it. Monitor your bliss level.
Pick a time (try noon or 6:00pm, if you need a directive) and either write out what you feel or affirm it to yourself. And if it helps, run through what happened before you checked-in that may have led to those feelings.
Besides, it's good practice to check in with yourself once in a while. ;-)
Have a Lush Lunes my deep thinkers!!!

Great way to start a Monday! :)
ReplyDeleteChallenge accepted.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great practice for me. With my busy life it would be interesting to look back at the times when I felt bliss.
I'm doing this. I need to do this. *sigh*
ReplyDeleteThank you!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to start the week!
ReplyDeleteI need to get better at eating a good and healthy breakfast.
ReplyDeleteI think every morning when i get a good nights sleep and awesome breakfast I can be productive cant wait to hear more about the challenge
ReplyDeleteBreakfast always makes me blissful. No, really it does make a big difference throughout the day.
ReplyDeleteHmm, good challenge!! Mondays are my busiest days and therefore, trigger stress! Yesterday I got a head start on today so my bliss for today was having one less item on my to-do list!
ReplyDeleteI love this! This month is proving to be super stressful and I am trying my hardest not to let it affect me. Measuring my bliss levels will help me to focus on the good happy feelings, instead of the worried, stressed out "bad" feelings. :)
ReplyDeletegreat challenge, I feel blissful after a great breakfast....
ReplyDeleteI really like the idea of measuring your bliss levels. Individuals in our society spend so much time measuring themselves against other factors - wealth, clothing, brand of car they drive, size of house they own - that they forget the most important thing. Are they happy? I think when you measure yourself against the material... the answer is going to range from no to "at the moment". Am I happy with myself? Hang on... I'm going to take a reading. Peace!!
ReplyDeleteI need a mandate just like this... I could sit here all day and never take a break to assess what my next is/has to be! My stress is causing all kinds of ugly things so I need to handle that and find my happy. Quick. In the process!
ReplyDeleteMy morning prayers center me. I am less anxious, giving way, I hope, for bliss!
