Channel Your Duality: Black Swan DVD Giveaway (ends 4/1)

"A story about a girl who turned into a swan...." and what a swan she was.

If you follow me on twitter, you may have heard that I watched the Black Swan twice. Yes... TWICE.

I've had a girl crush on Natalie Portman since The Professional
and was thrilled to see her win the Oscar for The Black Swan.
She friggin deserved it. I only hope I can work alongside her one day.

You may have also heard me talk about my failed pirouette as I tried to channel my five year old ballerina self after watching the movie. Let's just say, there was a minor embarrassment.

What I enjoyed the most about the film is the tortured duality it explores - colors that are part of all of us, to a degree. I sometimes deal with this as an actress - stepping away from the polished lawyer/good girl and tapping into that very raw savage part - it presents a challenge for me (not to the level expressed in the Black Swan, ok? Let's not get CRAZY).

Well, because of my affection for the actress and this film, I'm happy to report that the people at Fox approached me and wanted to giveaway a copy of the Black Swan DVD to my Deep Thinkers! I hope you're not overloaded on giveaways, because I'm really excited about this! (Let's face it, I'm not doing the giveaway if I'm not excited about it.)

BLACK SWAN

BLACK SWAN follows the story of Nina (Natalie Portman), a ballerina in the New York City Ballet trying to make it to the top. When artistic director Thomas Leroy (Vincent Cassel) decides to replace prima ballerina Beth MacIntyre (Winona Ryder) for the opening production of their new season, Swan Lake, Nina is his first choice. But a new dancer, Lily (Mila Kunis), also impresses Leroy and becomes Nina’s competition. Nina fits the White Swan role perfectly with her innocence and grace, but Lily is the personification of the Black Swan with her fiery personality. As the two young dancers expand their rivalry into a twisted friendship, Nina begins to get more in touch with her dark side with a recklessness that threatens to destroy her.
Become part of the haunting phenomenon and own BLACK SWAN on Blu-ray or DVD on March 29th from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment.
