Would you want to be in a "Progressive" commercial?

I've been trying my hand at acting for a while. Need a refresher? Click Here. Aside from taking super fun acting classes, I've been an extra in a couple of shows (totally psyched about sharing that with you).  But I am dying to get the skills necessary, then hopefully the opportunities, to land bigger gigs.

I have often thought, "wouldn't it be cool to be in a commercial like the Mac guy or like Flo at Progressive? " Well, an old friend of mine sent me the link to enter the contest to help Flo at Progressive. It might be cool to be in a commercial, even though I am a newbie. Nevertheless, I thought I would send this information to you in case you wanted to enter the contest as well.  

How do you enter? 

It's easy. Upload your video entry for a chance to win an appearance in a Progressive advertisement - complete with a trip to Los Angeles, CA, for a live tryout with Flo.

What do you have to do?

Fire up the webcam or another video recording device and in the most interesting way possible [stating why you] would be great helping Flo at Progressive, and end the video with saying "Now that's Progressive".

Make sure you submit your video by March 21, 2010, midnight EST.


How do they pick the final three finalists? 

April 5: Voting begins...[to ] narrow the list down from the top 10 to the final 3.


May 3: Voting ends. Keep an eye out for [the] announcement of the top three finalists.
