A Good Mother

I have these plates that state "A Good Mother Makes a Happy Home." For me, that saying is so true. My mother has sacrificed so much for us and truly is the best friend any woman could have. She is nurturing, caring, giving, funny, embraces her child-like nature as well as her strong responsible personality. She is conservative in her personal values but maintains an open mind and has a liberal point of view. She's a little spit-fire Puerto Rican lady whom I adore.

Today we were told her cholesterol was 230 and some other level was 130 which meant she is a candidate for a heart attack. This has me worried - especially since her accident which has prevented her from going to the gym. I would die inside if anything happened to her.

I just pray that within these next 3 months she can lower her cholesterol and steer clear of any heart attack.
